India Blockchain Week 2025 was the third edition of the IBW conference, held on 2 and 3 December 2025 at the Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bengaluru, with a wider week of events running from 1 to 7 December. FORKOFF was a media partner. This recap covers the 2025 edition; the fourth edition moves to Mumbai on 1 and 2 November 2026, and our India Blockchain Week 2026 guide covers dates, passes and who should go. What follows sets out what the week contained, who paid for it, and what the organizer's own numbers on X and YouTube say about where reach comes from.
The short version
India Blockchain Week 2025 was the third edition of the IBW conference, held on 2 and 3 December 2025 at the Sheraton Grand Whitefield in Bengaluru, inside a week of more than 100 side events. Hashed Emergent hosted it, Binance and Aptos were title sponsors, and Demo Day put a minimum of $250K in front of eight finalists. FORKOFF was a media partner: we announced it on X on 24 November with a ticket giveaway and a 15 percent code, and that announcement was our only IBW post that season. The data says the after-event story is where reach sits: IBW's five posts after the conference had a median of 6,901 views, while 34 session recordings uploaded ten to sixteen weeks later hold 589 views between them.
Disclosure first, because it shapes everything below. FORKOFF did not host anything at IBW 2025 and did not report from the floor. We were one of the conference's media partners: we posted one announcement with a ticket giveaway and a discount code, and that was our only IBW post that season. FORKOFF does launch distribution for AI and B2B tech startups: creators, clips, podcasts and Reddit, one team, priced on the outcome, based in San Francisco. Every figure here comes from the conference's Luma page, the organizer's release on The Defiant, the official IBW posts on X, the IBW YouTube channel and our own account, all read on 18 October 2026.
What was India Blockchain Week 2025?
India Blockchain Week 2025 was a week of web3 events in Bengaluru from 1 to 7 December 2025, anchored by the two-day IBW conference on 2 and 3 December at the Sheraton Grand Whitefield. Hashed Emergent hosted it. The organizer called it the third and biggest edition, and expected more than 5,000 attendees from over 40 countries.
The official account set the scene the evening before doors opened.
We can't wait to see you tomorrow for the third edition of the IBW conference - it's going to be special.

Hashed Emergent is the venture arm of Hashed focused on India and other emerging markets, and the conference doubles as its stage: it hosted the event, ran Demo Day and launched its India Web3 Landscape Report 2025 on day one. The Luma page lists the conference from 10 AM on 2 December to 7 PM on 3 December, with entry by ticket only.

The public run of the edition spans five weeks. The Chainwire release went out on 14 November, our media partner post followed on 24 November, a VIP night opened the week on 1 December, the conference filled 2 and 3 December, and IBW closed the cycle with an aftermovie on 17 December.
What was FORKOFF's role at IBW 2025?
FORKOFF was a media partner of IBW 2025. We announced the partnership on X on 24 November 2025, a week before day one, with one free ticket to give away and 15 percent off passes on the IBW 2025 ticket page with the code IBWXFORKOFF15. We did not host a side event, sponsor a booth or speak at the conference.

This recap is partly a correction of that gap, ten months late. It is also why the lessons further down lean on what a media partner should ship, not only on what an organizer did. For the 2026 edition FORKOFF is a media partner again, and the IBW 2026 partner list on the official site carries our name.
What ran across the week in Bengaluru?
Around the two conference days, the week carried a VIP night on 1 December, Demo Day on the main stage on 3 December, an official afterparty that evening, a Create-a-thon for creators, the IBW edition of Cardano Hackathon Asia with a $65K prize pool, and more than 100 side events across the city, per the organizer's release.
Each format had its own audience. Demo Day spoke to founders and investors. The Create-a-thon, run with basedindia and Scribble at WTFxZo, gave creators a way in before the week started, and IBW said its creator pass winners would attend the conference. The VIP night, sponsored by Bullbit, ran the evening before day one.
The afterparty shows how the week was sized. Polygon, Bitget and Hashed Emergent brought it, from 7 PM on 3 December at the Hamilton Cocktail Bar, open to every pass holder without registration and capped at 1,000 people, first come first served, per IBW's afterparty post.

That cap is a useful number for anyone planning a side event in the same week. A free party for every conference pass holder sets the ceiling for what an evening event can draw on day two, so a side event that wants a different crowd needs a different slot, a narrower invite list or a reason to come that a free bar does not offer.
How did Demo Day work, and what was at stake?
IBW Demo Day 2025 ran on 3 December from 5 PM to 7 PM on the main stage. Hashed Emergent committed a minimum of $250K in investment, split among one or more startups, and eight finalists pitched after a selection phase that ran from September to November. Aptos, Avalanche, Polygon, 0G and CoinSwitch powered it.

The format was investment first. Applicants needed a working product or MVP and relevance to India's web3 market, and shortlisted teams went through an intro call and a virtual diligence sprint before the stage. Judges came from Hashed Emergent, Aptos, Avalanche, Polygon, 0G and CoinSwitch, each announced by name on X in the final days.

@IBWofficial
The #IBW2025 Demo Day in full swing! Who do you think takes home the 250k in investment? Tell us your guesses if you're watching them pitch live. So stoked for this one!
On top of the $250K, ecosystem partners added prizes: a $10K grant from 0G, $9.5K in platform credits from CredShields and a $9K membership. The Demo Day page also promised access to Hashed Emergent's investor network and media coverage across IBW channels. The Demo Day Luma page shows 153 people as went, a count of approved registrations, not a headcount in the hall.
For a founder deciding whether to apply next year, the shape matters more than the prize. Selection ran for three months, the diligence happened before the pitch, and the stage was the last step of a process, not the first.
Who sponsored and spoke at IBW 2025?
Binance was a title sponsor, per its own quote in the release, and IBW named Aptos with Move Club India as title sponsors on X. IBW announced Coinbase and Tether as platinum sponsors, Bybit and Bitget as gold, NPCI as a sponsor and six silver sponsors. More than 100 speakers were expected.
NPCI stands out on that list. The National Payments Corporation of India runs UPI, the system most Indians pay with, and IBW announced it as a sponsor on the morning of day one. That post drew 7,125 views and 142 likes, the second most liked post in the window after a day one photo post. A payments operator of that size on a web3 conference floor was the clearest signal of the week about where Indian crypto conversations were heading.
The release named the confirmed speakers it wanted readers to see, and ten of them are below.
India is a key market for Aptos, home to some of our most valued partners, talented builders, and pioneering initiatives.
Aptos backed that quote with floor space. Its recap, posted by IBW two days after the conference, counted 8 projects, more than 10 sessions and more than 1,500 builders, plus an Aptos Experience Zone.

The sponsor welcome posts tell a quieter story. IBW gave every sponsor its own post on the same template, and the reach of those posts varied widely.
Same template, very different reach
View counts read from each sponsor welcome post on the IBW account on X on 18 October 2026. Bybit's post drew 18.8 times Tether's.
Sponsor announcements ranged nineteen-fold in reach
IBW gave each sponsor its own welcome post. Bybit's drew 16,616 views and Tether's drew 884, a ratio of 18.8. The posts were written to the same template, so the gap reflects how hard each sponsor pushed the post to its own audience, which is the clearest argument for agreeing a share plan with every sponsor before the welcome goes up.

Who was in the room, and why the organizer called it the biggest edition?
The organizer's breakdown for IBW 2025 puts builders and developers at 30 percent of attendees, founders and CEOs at 22 percent, protocol and project teams at 18 percent, investors at 15 percent, policy and institutions at 8 percent and media and ecosystem at 7 percent. Builders and founders together made up 52 percent.
That mix explains the program. A room that is half builders and founders, with one attendee in seven an investor, suits a Demo Day, workshops and sessions on wallets, DeFi growth and zero-knowledge tooling, which is what the recordings list shows. It suits a hiring booth too, and IBW had one.
The release made a market case for the edition. India has more than 1,200 web3 startups, 35 million active crypto users on centralized exchanges, the second largest web3 developer base and, per the Chainalysis 2025 adoption index it linked, the highest crypto adoption rate in the world for a third year running.
Policy was on the agenda too. The release said Karnataka's IT minister would give the opening keynote on day two, and the recorded sessions include India's regulatory framework, building with regulation and the COINS Act 2025. Readers on Reddit were tracking the same questions in the weeks before.

What did IBW's own posts on X show?
We read the 80 most recent original posts on the official IBW account between 26 November and 17 December 2025. Together they show 728,868 views. The median post drew 1,619. The 56 run-up posts had a median of 1,193, the 19 posts on the two conference days 1,866 and the five posts after the conference 6,901.

Method: The 80 most recent original posts (replies excluded) from the official IBW account between 15 November and 20 December 2025, which reach back to 26 November, read through X search on 18 October 2026. Dates are UTC. The share column sets aside one run-up post of 1 December with 422,391 views, 58.0 percent of all views on its own.
Median of the 80 posts is 1,618.5, rounded to 1,619. Shares add total views per phase and divide by 306,477, the total without the outlier.
One number needs handling with care. A two-line post on the evening of 1 December, asking whether people were ready for the next day, shows 422,391 views, 58.0 percent of every view in the window on its own, with 141 likes. Nothing in the post explains that reach, so we set it aside rather than draw a lesson from it. Without it, the run-up took 66.4 percent of 306,477 views, the conference days 20.8 percent and the after-event posts 12.8 percent.

Two run-up patterns are worth copying. A post four days out, two lines long, drew 72,813 views. Speaker cards were the opposite: 23 of the 31 speaker welcome posts in the window drew under 1,500 views, with a median of 713, while the Bitget Wallet CMO's card reached 11,608.
The after-event posts are the part to study. Only five went up, and they were the Day 2 recap, a thank-you, the Aptos video, a community video and the aftermovie. Their median of 6,901 is 5.8 times the run-up median.
Five posts after the event beat 56 before it, post for post
Of IBW's 80 posts in the window, only five went up after the conference, and their median was 6,901 views, against 1,193 for the 56 run-up posts and 1,866 for the 19 posts on the two conference days. Recaps, the title sponsor video and the aftermovie were the posts people watched. The run-up carried volume; the after-event posts carried attention.

What happened to the conference recordings?
The IBW YouTube channel holds 34 recordings from the 2025 conference that we could open, 16.8 hours of talks in total. They went up between 13 February and 23 March 2026, 72 to 110 days after Demo Day, and together show 589 views, a median of 10.5 each.

Days after counted from 3 December 2025, the second conference day.
Sixteen of the 34 sit under 10 views. The most watched is the COINS Act 2025 session at 124, followed by NPCI's open-source session at 49, and the median running time is 31 minutes.

The COINS Act 2025 session, the most viewed of the 34 IBW 2025 recordings at 124 views.
The talks were not the problem. The sessions covered stablecoins, regulation, institutional adoption and wallets, topics people search for. The problem was timing and length: three months after the event, at half an hour each, on a channel of 549 subscribers. The same pattern showed up at our own Singapore evening in 2025, where a fifty-minute panel recording drew 54 views in a year.
Seventeen hours of talks, 589 views
The 34 recordings we could open run 16.8 hours and hold 589 views between them, a median of 10.5 each. They went up 72 to 110 days after the conference, when the people who were in the room had moved on. A talk that lands on YouTube three months late, in full length, mostly gets archived rather than watched.

What should a team take into IBW 2026?
Three lessons carry over to the next edition. Put most of the effort into the days after the event, when IBW's few posts drew the most views each. Cut recordings into short clips within days, not months. And agree a share plan with every sponsor, speaker and media partner before the posts go up, because the same template reached nineteen-fold different audiences.

IBW per its posts on X and its YouTube channel, FORKOFF per our own X account, both read 18 October 2026. The first IBW 2025 session recording went up on YouTube on 13 February 2026.
From one host to a conference, a week of events and two kinds of video
The first lesson applies to us. A media partner that only promotes the ticket offer adds a discount and little else. A media partner that publishes a recap, short clips of two or three sessions and a list of who said what gives the event a second life in a different audience. That is what we promised in 2025 and did not deliver, and it is what we plan to ship for IBW 2026.
The second lesson is about the 16.8 hours. A two-minute clip of the strongest answer in each session, posted within a week, reaches the people who searched for the event while they still care. The full recording still belongs on YouTube, as the long version people find later.
The third is about the 1,000-person afterparty and the 100-plus side events. In a week that crowded, a team's own event needs a clear reason to exist, a co-host with an audience of its own and a slot that does not compete with the free party for every pass holder. Our side event hosting playbook covers that decision step by step.
The next edition moves to Mumbai
After three editions in Bangalore, IBW 2026 runs on 1 and 2 November 2026 at the Fairmont Mumbai. The organizer frames the move as going where capital and decision-making sit. For a team planning its India presence, the change matters: Mumbai puts banks, exchanges and policy closer to the room than a developer city did.

IBW 2026 runs on 1 and 2 November 2026 at the Fairmont Mumbai, after three editions in Bangalore, per the organizer. What would FORKOFF run for a team at IBW 2026?
FORKOFF runs events as a dealflow system: success is measured in qualified conversations and booked follow-ups, and a long registration list counts only when it feeds those. For a team at IBW 2026, that means choosing the format first, a side event, a speaking slot or a content-only plan, then building the posts and clips around the day.
Our three hosted recaps from 2025 show the hosting side: AI, DePIN and RWA Day in Seoul, AI, DePIN and RWA Builders in Singapore and The Capital Layer in Buenos Aires, each with its guest list and post data. This one shows the media partner side, where the work that matters starts when the conference ends.
Events sit inside a wider launch distribution practice. Founder funnel gets founders booked as speakers, guests and sources, and clipping turns session recordings into short edits built for feeds. Read how events engagements are scoped and see short event films from our video team.
Reading list for an India conference budget
Three further reads round out an India conference budget: a checklist for screening sponsors and co-hosts, a first-party ROI read built on 2026 client cohorts, and a comparison of conference sponsorship against paid ads for B2B teams deciding where the money goes.
Screen partners first with the crypto event sponsor brand safety playbook, since a week with dozens of sponsor logos is only as safe as its weakest one. The first-party sponsorship ROI analysis brings 2026 cohort data to the return question, and the B2B sponsorship against paid ads comparison shows how event spend stacks up against ads.
